Arnaud Tesson is a Partner at August Leadership and Vice Chair of the firm’s Board Practice. His work focuses on advising boards of directors on director succession, recruitment, and board effectiveness. His expertise centers on addressing pressing board concerns, including AI, sustainability, and strategies for enhanced governance.
Prior to joining August Leadership, Arnaud was a senior partner with Egon Zehnder where he was a key member of the firm’s board advisory and financial services practices. Within the finance sector, he led the US insurance and asset management segments. He also completed a large number of executive assessment and development projects globally. Arnaud began his career in mergers and acquisitions in Paris and London, and later became a consultant at Bain & Company in Boston and Hong Kong, advising financial services, retail, and high-tech clients on strategy. He then held various senior management roles at Capital One Financial Corporation, including Country Manager for France, Head of International Business Development and Director of Marketing and Analysis for a U.S. business line. Arnaud earned an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, where he was recognized as a Tuck Scholar, as well as dual bachelor degrees in business from Paris Dauphine University and the Paris Institute of Political Studies (SciencesPo). He is passionate about preserving our planet’s environment and serves on the Board of Ambassadors of the New England Aquarium. He and his wife Kim live near Boston, and they have an adult son, Alexander, who lives in Spain.
