Gavin has been working in executive search for the last 15 years, having spent the previous 10 years in leadership positions at Unilever. In addition to conducting search at executive committee level, he has deep expertise in roles with a customer focus; marketing, sales, digital trading & transformation, operations leadership, strategy, buying, P&L management, and supply chain.
The majority of his work is in customer-led sectors like retail, financial services, gaming, FMCG, energy, media & telecoms, education, and B2B distribution businesses. He works in Asia and North America and extensively across the UK & Europe. His clients range from blue-chip multinationals to mutual organizations and private equity/VC-backed challenger companies. A Commerce graduate from University College Dublin in Ireland, he speaks French, German, and some Spanish.
Prior to joining August Leadership, Gavin co-led a boutique executive search firm based in London. While there he developed a passion for understanding personality, leadership, and the link to high performance. He has been a Hogan-qualified assessor since 2017.
