Thomas Fuller is a seasoned senior leadership advisor and executive search consultant who serves clients across the global consumer sector, including CPG, food & beverage, health & wellness, luxury & lifestyle brands, and travel & hospitality. He also leads projects in the private equity, life sciences, and technology sectors. With a career spanning over 25 years in executive search consulting, Mr. Fuller has successfully delivered hundreds of board director and C-suite leadership projects for Fortune 500 companies, Mid-cap firms, privately held enterprises, as well as private equity, pre-IPO, and venture-backed clients.
Mr. Fuller is considered leading authority on the intangible leadership traits that define the top 10% of global C-Suite and board leaders. His expertise in talent strategies and leadership competencies, including IQ, EQ, and CQ, enables him to excel in helping clients align talent needs with business objectives and culture.
Prior to joining August Leadership, Mr. Fuller was a Managing Director and former practice Leader at ZRG Partners and was the Founder & CEO of Epsen Fuller Group, a boutique consultancy acquired by ZRG in 2018. Formerly he was a partner and led pivotal engagements at TASA’s TMP Worldwide Executive Search. Mr. Fuller entered the executive search profession following a successful 20-year career leading high-growth consumer brands including founder & CEO of a consumer products manufacturer that culminated in its acquisition by Crystal Brands, a subsidiary of General Mills.
A National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Certified Board Director & Governance Fellow, Mr. Fuller has held pivotal Board roles, including Lead Director and Chair of the Nominating & Governance and Compensation Committees of Tingley Corporation up to its acquisition by Bunzl plc. He also served as the Board President of the NACD NJ Chapter, was Founder and Chair of the NACD New Jersey Director of the Year Awards, Board Director and America’s Treasurer of the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) and a Board Director of IMD International Group. Mr. Fuller is a recipient of the AESC’s Eleanor Raynolds Award for Excellence in Executive Search & Community Commitment.
In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Fuller is a passionate fitness enthusiast and the founder of the Freedom Riders Cycling Club, an initiative that raises funds for cancer research and promotes cancer awareness. He also leads Impact Paterson, a ministry associated with the Discipleship House in the inner city of Paterson, NJ, dedicated to coming alongside men in recovery to assist them in restoring their lives and reengaging in society.
